Think Monday Think ATC
The talented Sarah left me a comment on my last post ( thank you so much!) and suggested that I might make an ATC for the Think Monday Think ATC challenge this week, since the theme is "Kings and Queens" - so I did!
Image is Lisa's Altered Arts again and my background is coloured with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue Ink and Dusty Concord Distress Ink.
Below are a couple of more ATCs I made at the same time.
Tuesday Taggers Wall hanging challenge
The challenge this week on Tuesday Taggers, sponsored by The Craft Barn, is to make a Wall Hanging. I had some Queen images, downloaded from Lisa's Altered Art, to use in Dyan's challenge this week, so I thought I would use some more of them for this different challenge.
The plaques were cut from chipboard using Nestabilities and my Big Shot. I painted the background with Claudine Hellmuth paints and I edged the plaques with Stewart Gill paint.
Next I added some torn paper.
Then I stamped with Studio 490 and Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous using Ranger Distress Inks.
Holes and eyelets set with my Crop-a-dile and Blonde Moments ribbon threaded through.

2 more Art Journal pages
Here are the next two pages that I finished. Although I have loved doing these I think that I will take more time with my next pages and try to plan them a bit more and get more layers on them. I definitely need to add some more depth, but have just been swept away by the whole thing - love it!
It's good to have your own "stuff" to use but at a workshop it's great to work with new things and things that you wouldn't even have thought to use.
I have a couple more pages to finish that I started on Tuesday. One has a theme but I haven't found the right images to go on it yet and the other one is just painted with no theme so I can have a good think about that one.
I do apologise if you don't enjoy Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" 'cos that bottom page might freak you out! LOL! x

Art Journalling
I went to a fantastic Art Journalling class on Tuesday taught by Sarah Anderson at Paddy's Stamping Place.
I'd always been apprehensive about not knowing what to write about in an art journal but Sarah introduced the idea very gently by suggesting we start with pages based on images, stamps and things that we already like. Well I absolutely loved it and now my head is bursting with ideas on all sorts of subjects that I want to do a page about. I stayed up until 2am on Wed morning and until 1am this morning just playing with paints so I have plenty of painted pages to start working on.
The pages above are the first two that I've finished. I really don't want to stop playing - shame I won't be able to get to it much in the next few days but I shall be thinking about it and writing some ideas down for the next time I get my paints out.

Flowerpot Cards
I've wanted to have a go at these for ages and finally got round to completing these last night - I've had various bits on the go for weeks. I used Close to Cocoa cardstock for the pot with Certainly Celery Ribbon.
The first card uses Studio 490 stamps, Hero Arts stamps and Copic Markers.
This card uses Petal Pizzaz stamps from Stampin' Up! and Almost Amethyst, Old Olive and Lovely Lilac inks.
The 'flowers" pull out to give you a tag on which to write your greeting.
Now, must go and re-tie that bow on the bottom card! X

Tuesday Taggers Distress Challenge
This week's theme on Tuesday Taggers is Distress, sponsored by the Craft Barn. Here is my card for Jules:- The background is Distress Ink (Broken China and Dusty Concorde) and a Tim Holtz mask was used.
I distressed the edge with my Stampin' Up! distress tool and the sentiment (from Craftwork cards) is coloured using my Stampin' pastels.
Lace border is paper coloured with Broken China distress ink and punched with Martha Stewart punch.
Thanks for looking x

Completed Jigsaw Swap
As promised here is the jigsaw now the swap is complete and I have received all my Paris themed pieces back. I did the middle piece, and the middle right hand side piece because the original piece for there went missing during the swap, but the other pieces were each done by the 7 other ladies in my group.
Thank you to all of them, just need to find a place to display it now.
