Card in a box (almost!)

I haven't made a card for ages but the other week my neighbour asked if I would make a card for her mother's birthday.

She wanted a card with dimension on it, so that meant that it wouldn't fit in to an envelope without being squashed. I used Prima paper and flowers, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, Craftwork cards greeting, coloured with distress inks, and American Crafts thickers.
I made a box base, but I didn't feel like making a lid, so I decided to experiment with a piece of co-ordinating cardstock instead, and this is the result:

I will experiment with making the ribbon a bit tidier, and hope that it's ok for my neighbour.
Thanks for looking. X

Yay!! Good to see you back in blogland :) Lovely card, very textural and collage-y. The box design is wonderful, like a mini basket effect :) Px

Should be ok (more than ok) for your neighbour. Love the card Anne and the idea of the 'box'for it is so novel.
