This icicle was hanging above one of our bedroom windows and when a slight thaw started today it was in danger of falling on to our new conservatory roof.My very kind sister managed to reach through the window and grab hold of it with a towel so that we could dispose of it safely.
It was massive! 135cm long and weighing 9lb! Good job she rescued it!

blimey, we've got some like that and I'm just hoping nobody is underneath when they fall.They do not seem to be thawing at all.
